Description
Through long grass, one of nature's killing machines is on the hunt. The sleek black coated predator emerges from the underbrush and stalks towards you. It looks like you may be the next meal for this hungry panther.
Black panthers it turns out are not an actual breed of big cat. Rather they are a melanistic color variant, that is, a black (or dark) coated jaguar in the Americas or a similarly black coated leopard in Africa or Asia. Regardless, panthers are a fearsome animal an not something I'd ever want to face in the wild.
If you follow my art much, you'll have seen scenes like this before. It's one of my favorite poses for a hunting big cat.
